Who Are We?

Ardmore Craig are engineers who love to solve problems! We offer our clients bespoke technical and commercial solutions, enabling them to execute engineering projects efficiently.

We provide a wide range of Engineering Services, with contracts ranging from small lump sum studies to large framework agreements and major Design & Build projects. Our core client base includes Developers, Marine & Engineering Consultancy Houses, Equipment Designers, Offshore Contractors, Fabricators, Utility Companies and Super Majors - covering the full spectrum of companies involved within the Offshore sector.

We also work with many customers in other industry sectors such as Renewable Energy, Nuclear, Aerospace, Defence, Mining & Automotive.

Our Ethos

We work very closely with our customers to gain a firm understanding of their needs, key drivers, timescales and budgets before developing solutions which fit within the technical and commercial constraints of their projects.

Our headquarters are in the North East of England and we have achieved all the accreditations you would expect - including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, with experience relating to DNV GL, Lloyds, ABS & ASME codes among other 3rd party standards.

Our areas of expertise include carousels, pipelay systems, trenching machines and deck equipment. However, we relish the opportunity to learn from new challenges and the team often take on work scopes which are new to us. Most of all we pride ourselves on our ability to generate cost effective solutions for our clients in rapid timescales.

Our Team

Our team is made up with people from a range of backgrounds, with a variety of skills, experience and personalities.

All of our engineers are competent in the market-leading Autodesk Inventor, and we utilise this software for concept models and drawings. For analysis and modelling we use a range of software’s such as STAAD Pro or Nastran; however, our engineers are very competent in the use of most engineering software packages, and we always offer other systems if it’s a requirement of a customer’s work-scope.

The business has an IMechE accredited professional development scheme which our graduate engineers progress through upon joining the business. Our team are all enthusiastic about engineering and make a commitment to speak at local schools and colleges as STEM ambassadors, to promote careers in the wider fields of engineering.

KASL Engineering Group

KASL Engineering Group are proud to be the parent company of Ardmore Craig and we acquired the company in early 2021. Operating from our headquarters in Houghton le Spring, Tyne & Wear, KASL Group are a multi-disciplined group of complimenting engineering companies, with a well-established foothold in the North-East of England and throughout Scotland.

Along with supporting a multitude of prestigious customers in various business sectors with our precision machined parts offering, we also provide a full turn-key option to our clients on larger projects including project management, detail design, structural analysis, fabrication, and assembly. Ardmore Craig play a crucial role in this, often project managing large work scopes that utilise the full expertise of our group companies.

Our biggest asset throughout the group is our people. They are highly skilled, dedicated, fully engaged and motivated personnel.

KASL Group

Company History

Ardmore Craig was founded by Andy Stevenson in 2010, and since the business was acquired by the KASL Engineering Group in 2021 it has continued to operate with the same passion and ethos that Andy instilled in 2010 when the business was incorporated. Andy is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IMechE who previously worked at managerial and directorial level within a number of international engineering businesses before establishing Ardmore Craig. Everything we do is based on the systems and principles Andy put in place, and we're proud that Andy is still working within the business at board level.

Since inception Ardmore Craig has worked on over 500 contracts in 27 Countries, with a wide range of clients both large and small.
